I've tried to make lombok work on my mac. I read about and tried various combinations. I'm using

and a spring project that other people in my group have working that uses @DaTa and works.

I discovered that the eclipse.ini at ~/eclipse/jee-mars/Eclipse.app/Contents/Eclipse/eclipse.ini
is likely the correct ini file since at times I can make eclipse not start up by modifying the content.

If I add:
-javaagent:lombok.jar

as recommended eclipse will not start.

If I add:
-javaagent=lombok.jar

eclipse will start but the setters/getters will not appear in the outline window as expected.

I've also tried various combinations of:
-Xbootclasspath

Also, I never see any indication under: about eclipse that lombok has been added.

Did you try to use the lombok installer?

That should generate the right line at the right location in your ini file.
